About the author
Francois Henning is the author of What the Darkness Takes and creator of The Coin Trees Saga, a series about family, ambition, power and the unseen connections that bind people together.
His fiction blends human drama with subtle supernatural elements, following ordinary people as they confront forces larger than themselves — in business, family, community and the hidden world that surrounds them.
Before turning his attention to fiction, Francois spent much of his professional life in South Africa’s banking, payments and fintech industries. That experience shaped his interest in power, money, ambition and the choices people make when opportunity and survival collide.
He lives in Cape Town, South Africa, and is currently writing Walls That Divide Us, the next story in The Coin Trees Saga, which is being released as a serial.
